Editorial entries are the Waypoint team's opinion, credited with an author and date. Data entries adapt a cited published source, normalized onto this S–D scale — see each entry's own notes for exactly how. Hardcore is assessed separately from Softcore. Ranks compare builds within one purpose only: a mapping rank says nothing about bossing.

Criteria
Gear requirements
Works on self-found gear and cheap runewords in the first days of a fresh ladder.
Clear speed while gearing
How fast it levels and clears early maps before the key items are found.
Survivability
How forgiving it is with low resistances and low life. Weighted much more heavily in HC.
Fortified / non-fortified
How far it gets into fortified maps before it needs a respec or a second character.
